Packaging

Packaging protects products from damage on their journey to the customers.  Over many years producers have designed packaging to be fit for purpose while minimizing the negative environmental effect of packaging wastes. 

The EU introduced a law to harmonize the different laws across the Member States at a high level whilst leaving the countries free to implement their own requirements.
